Its been almost 10 years since I have visited friend feed. This early entrant into the foray of social networking was left abandoned to die in the cyber wastelands of the worldwide web. It had some great features, namely the wall which was adopted by Facebook when they bought the company and its IP.
I was amazed that my account still existed and I logged back in to find my details and friend requests from six years ago sitting there. A shame, but I guess this is the nature of the ever moving social network landscape.
I’ve not heard many people using it today. I guess its still languishing with a few avid users, but most people will have moved to Facebook, which seems to be rather like the world’s database of people.
This has me thinking about the evolution of the social network. The birth, the death and the re-incarnation of the social network.
